Constitution Week Concert/Lecture

Music, Department of Wednesday September 10, 2025

Tuesday, Sept. 16 as part of Georgia College & State University's annual "Constitution Week," a lively production of political campaign music and a lecture will be presented at 6 p.m. at the Magnolia Ballroom. The concert, "Trail Tunes: A Delightful Program of Songs from Presidential Campaigns, 1840-1964," will feature campaign songs such as "Tippecanoe and Tyler Too," "Liberty's Call," and "Wake, Sons of Columbia." Trax on the Trail, a website and research project co-founded by faculty member Dr. Dana Gorzelany-Mostak, and the Constitution Week Committee are hosting this event which will feature singers Gabrielle Van Patten, Charlie Rachel, and Joey Johnson, pianist Dr. Lev Ryabinin, and the Max Noah Singers, under the direction of Dr. Jennifer Flory.
