Justice for Laken Riley

As a mom and a survivor of rape, I cannot imagine the anguish Laken Riley's family endures as they face the trial of her killers. Laken's tragic death serves as a painful reminder of the dangers violent offenders pose when allowed to remain in our communities. Justice for Laken goes beyond holding her killers accountable-it ensures no other family experiences this kind of heartbreak.

This is why I introduced H.R. 7909, the Violence Against Women by Illegal Aliens Act. This bill ensures anyone convicted of sex offenses or domestic violence is deemed inadmissible and deportable, closing loopholes enabling dangerous individuals to remain in our communities. Every woman and child deserves to feel safe in their homes and neighborhoods. Laken's story calls us to act decisively-justice is not merely a promise, it is a responsibility.
