Rep. Webster Votes to Pass Preventing Violence Against Women by Illegal Aliens Act

Today, the U.S. House of Representatives, voted to pass H.R. 30, the Preventing Violence Against Women by Illegal Aliens Act , legislation co-introduced by Congressman Daniel Webster. The bill amends the Immigration and Nationality Act to make individuals who commit or are convicted of sexual offenses or domestic violence explicitly inadmissible and deportable.

"Our nation's immigration system should put the safety and security of its citizens first," said Rep. Webster. "By closing dangerous loopholes, we are making sure that those who commit reprehensible acts cannot exploit our nation's immigration system to evade accountability. With the passage of H.R. 30, House Republicans are sending a clear message that the United States prioritizes the safety of its citizens, especially women and children, above all else."
