The European Union continues to provide financial and military support to Ukraine. "The first tranche of military aid, amounting to 3.9 billion euros (figure clarified by the guest after the broadcast-Ed.), is directly earmarked for the production of Ukrainian drones-to scale up and develop industrial drone manufacturing," said Katarina Maternová, the European Union's Ambassador to Ukraine, in an exclusive interview with Ukrainian Radio. She also noted that new disbursements under the program are expected within the next few weeks. According to her, the total funding under the new program in 2026 will amount to approximately 40 billion euros. In addition, Maternová discussed assistance to the Kharkiv region in preparing for winter, support for education, public transportation, humanitarian programs, and independent media, and explained how the European Union plans to end its dependence on Russian fossil fuels.
