Salinas, CA - The City of Salinas is expanding its digital services for the community with the launch of Sali, a new AI virtual assistant aimed at helping residents find information on services, processes and other content on the City's website, including services like:
Sali is available to assist residents on the salinas.gov website 24 hours a day, 7 days a week by clicking the "Hello, Sali" icon in the bottom right corner of the website or sending a text message to (877) 357-SALI. This pilot program marks the first step in optimizing Sali's ability to find and connect residents to information on the City website, including the expansion of service and project-related information connected to Community Development and Permit Services. While Sali can find any information on the salinas.gov website, the City will use data and community feedback throughout the pilot period to improve the quality of information on the website and improve access to information on the other City departments and services.
Sali's name was selected by the community earlier this year. The launch of Sali marks another step forward as the City of Salinas continues exploring innovative technology to better serve residents.
