Serial Rapist Sentenced to 42 Years in Prison

January 15, 2025, Peoria, IL - Today, Demarquis D. Turner, 41, was sentenced to 42 years in the Illinois Department of Corrections after pleading guilty on November 18, 2024, to three separate cases of Criminal Sexual Assault. Chief Judge Katherine Gorman sentenced Turner to 14 years on each count. Each sentence must be served one after the other. The three incidents occurred over a 12-year period, and some of the women were complete strangers to Turner. He was identified and linked to each assault through DNA evidence.
