Mill and Fill on Route 154 Main Street in Old Saybrook

The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that a milling and filling project will be performed on Route 154 (Main Street) in Old Saybrook. This project is scheduled to occur on Sunday evening, May 10 and be completed on Thursday morning, May 14, 2026. Project No. DOT01720558CN "GG" consists of milling and filling a 0.58-mile segment of Route 154 (Main Street) in Old Saybrook from Old Boston Post Road to Route 1. This project is scheduled to begin milling and filling by Tilcon CT Inc. on Sunday evening, May 10 to Thursday morning, May 14, 2026.

This project is included in CTDOT's 2026 Vendor Resurfacing Program.

LANE CLOSURE/DETOUR INFO

Motorists can expect lane closures on Route 154 (Main Street) in Old Saybrook from Old Boston Post Road to Route 1. Traffic control personnel, crash attenuator vehicles and signing patterns will guide motorists through the work zone. The nighttime work schedule for this project is from 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m., Sunday to Thursday.

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this area.
