First Deputy Head of the Office of the President Sergiy Kyslytsya and Deputy Head of the Office of the President Ihor Zhovkva held a meeting with Poland's Secretary of State Marcin Bosacki.
Sergiy Kyslytsya thanked Poland for its unwavering solidarity with Ukraine and for the comprehensive assistance that Warsaw has been providing since the start of Russia's full-scale aggression.
Poland's participation in the meeting of the Coalition of the Willing held on January 6 in Paris was noted. Its outcomes demonstrated significant progress in developing security guarantees for Ukraine from the United States and European partners. The Ukrainian side reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining high momentum in the negotiation process to achieve a just and lasting peace.
The Ukrainian side also expressed hope that Poland would maintain consistent support for Ukraine's integration into the European Union, as this is one of the key security guarantees for our state.Marcin Bosacki noted the success of President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy's visit to Warsaw in December and emphasized the importance of developing bilateral dialogue and cooperation.
To strengthen Ukraine's defense capabilities, the parties agreed on further coordination of steps to implement joint defense projects, including through relevant European mechanisms.
Ihor Zhovkva paid special attention to the SAFE initiative and called on Poland to allocate an appropriate share of funds for mutually beneficial projects with Ukraine. He also thanked Poland for its $100 million contribution to the PURL mechanism.
Both sides share a common understanding: Russia is not interested in achieving peace, therefore it remains essential to coordinate actions aimed at increasing pressure on the Russian Federation and significantly limiting its resources.
