HELENA, Mont. - Governor Greg Gianforte and the Montana Chamber of Commerce are scheduled to host the 3rd Annual Big Sky, Bright Future Economic Summit on Thursday, October 15th, in Bozeman. This year's summit will focus on technology innovation in Montana.
"Montana's technology sector is helping drive our state's economic future," Gov. Gianforte said. "From advancing precision agriculture and strengthening national security to opportunities in artificial intelligence and photonics, Montana's innovators are creating good-paying jobs. I look forward to joining the Montana Chamber of Commerce in bringing leaders together to build on our momentum to ensure the Treasure State remains a great place to start a business."
The summit will facilitate collaboration and impactful conversations about Montana's role in the technology industry from national security, artificial intelligence in traditional industries such as precision agriculture, photonics, data centers, and online safety. Panelists include top executives and policymakers focused on innovative solutions and the forces shaping Montana's economy. Speakers include Congressman Troy Downing, Montana State University President Brock Tessman, Montana State Senator Daniel Zolnikov, R-Billings, and representatives of the governor's cabinet.
"The tech sector is the fastest growing business sector in Montana representing 5% of our GDP" said Todd O'Hair, President and CEO of the Montana Chamber of Commerce. "As entrepreneurs starting Right Now Technologies, Governor Greg Gianforte and First Lady Susan Gianforte were some of the original sparks that led to the rapid growth we see today. The Montana Chamber of Commerce is excited to join the Governor and First Lady as co-hosts for a conference that explores Montana's national role in Artificial Intelligence, national security, data security and other technology related issues."
