Farms and Ranches honored at SD State Fair
South Dakota Farm Bureau (SDFB) and the South Dakota Department of Agriculture and Natural Resources (DANR) recently celebrated 51 farms and ranches that have been in the same family for 100 years or more.
The recognition ceremony took place at the South Dakota State Fair on September 3, 2026. SDFB President Scott VanderWal joined Governor Larry Rhoden and DANR Secretary Hunter Roberts to honor farms and ranches that have been in the same family for 100, 125 and 150 years.
