Southeastern celebrates graduation of 2025-26 class of President’s Leadership Class

Southeastern Oklahoma State University celebrated the graduation of the 2025-26 class of the President's Leadership Class in an annual ceremony on Monday night in the Glen D. Johnson Student Union.

The twenty-two (22) PLC graduates have completed the first and most intensive year of the program. The freshman year experience includes course requirements, campus involvement, community service, and participation in student organizations and leadership conferences and academies.

The 2025-26 PLC class has completed 968 individual hours of service to the campus and Durant community, and has been recognized for academic honors, created two new campus organizations, selected for campus programs such as the Savage Storm Leaders, and elected to leadership positions in Student Government and other organizations.

2025-26 PLC Graduates are:

Alicyn Bell, a marketing major from Ardmore. She is active in Cardinal Key and the Student Bible Center. She was elected as Student Government Association Senator, Line Dancing Club Officer, and the Marketing Club President. She participated in the Oklahoma Intercollegiate Legislature as a member of the House of Representatives and served as the Winter Ball Co-chair for the Student Government Association. She has received the Oklahoma Rising Scholars Award, the Southeastern Legacy Scholarship, Vice President's Honor Roll, and was recognized at the Freshman Success Reception. Alicyn has been employed by the Southeastern radio station and the Office of Student Affairs as a student worker. She was also selected to be a marketing intern for the Lake Texoma Association this semester. She has volunteered for the Crisis Control Center, Colton's Run, Durant Church of Christ, Safe Trick-or-Treat Haunted House, block parties, Hands of Hope, Career Services, and is Green Bandana Certified.

Jaxon Doty, a psychology major from Tomball, Texas. She is active in the Savage Storm Volleyball Team and the Baptist Collegiate Ministries. She was named President's Honor Roll and Athletic Director's Honor Roll. She has volunteered with Hands of Hope, Special Olympics, volleyball clinics, and Boys and Girls Club.

Lindsey Dubberly, a health and human performance and clinical psychology double major from Hallsville, Texas. She is active in the Savage Storm Softball Team, Baptist Collegiate Ministries, and Fellowship of Christian Athletes. She was recognized at the Freshman Success Reception and named to the Athletic Director's Honor Roll. She will be working at Kanukuk Kamps this summer. She has volunteered for football, basketball, and rodeo concession stands, the Washington Irving Hotdog Howdy, Safe Trick-or-Treat Haunted House, tailgates, Boys and Girls Club, and Hands of Hope.

Emma Dudley, a pre-nursing major from Bonham, Texas. She is active in the Savage Storm Softball Team and Savage Storm Leaders. She has participated in Student Athletic Advisory Committee, Baptist Collegiate Ministries, and Spikeball Club. She was named to the Vice President's Honor Roll and Athletic Director's Honor Roll. She has volunteered for the Washington Irving Fall Festival, Football and Basketball Concessions, Purse Bingo, Safe Trick-or-Treat Haunted House, block parties, the Southeastern college fair, Softball Haunted House, Special Olympics, and Hands of Hope.

Jenna Fielder, an elementary education major from Wayne. She is active in Rotaract Club, Native American Student Association, and College Freshman Year Initiative. She was recognized at the Freshman Success Reception. She was selected as Rotaract Club Reporter. She was named to the Vice President's Honor Roll. Jenna is employed by the Owen Academy. She has volunteered at the Stickball Tournament and the Boys and Girls Club.

William Hall, an aviation-professional pilot major from Ardmore. He is active in Women in Aviation, Southeastern Choral Union, Southeastern Chorale, and the Baptist Collegiate Ministries. He was recognized at the Freshman Success Reception. He has had a leadership role in the Cansmas event on campus and at the President's Leadership Class Haunted House as a member of the maintenance crew. He has volunteered at the Career Fair, SE Live, Safe Trick or Treat Haunted House, Block Party, and the Southeastern All-District Chorus. He received the Choir Emerging Vocal Artist Scholarship, Southeastern Legacy Scholarship, The Ardmore Little Theatre Scholarship, Aviation Fish Fry Scholarship, and the Cities in Schools Mentoring Scholarship. He is employed by the Choctaw Casino as a lifeguard for the Oasis Pools.

Hannah Hockersmith, a chemistry and biology double major from Lone Grove. She is active in the Pre-Health Association and Baptist Collegiate Ministries. She was a room leader in the Safe Trick-or Treat Haunted House. She is employed by Henry Roberts Express Pharmacy. Hannah has volunteered for block parties, football tailgate, Colton's Run, Boys and Girls Club, and Hands of Hope.

Jackson Hoey, a business major from Blue Ridge, Texas. He has been involved in Baptist Collegiate Ministries and Spikeball Club. He was named to the Vice President's Honor Roll. Jackson is employed by Forest Creek Land Management. He has volunteered for the Safe Trick-or-Treat Haunted House, SE Live, the career fair, and at the Food Pantry.

Makenna Hoffman, an elementary education major from McAlester. She is active in Rotaract Club, Native American Student Association, and College Freshman Year Initiative. She was selected as the Secretary of the Rotaract Club. She has received awards through Choctaw Career Development, Choctaw Higher Education, Southeastern Legacy Scholarship, Inspired to Teach, Vice President's Honor Roll, and was recognized at the Freshman Success Reception. Makenna has been employed by the Southeastern Advising Center and currently works for the Boys and Girls Club. She has volunteered for the Safe Trick-or-Treat Haunted House, block parties, Rotaract Blessing Boxes, and the Stickball Tournament.

Raylee Holstine, an English Education major from Tushka. She is active in line dancing club and Baptist Collegiate Ministries. She was previously elected as a line dancing club officer. She was recognized at the Freshman Success Reception and named President's Honor Roll. Raylee is employed by Reba's Place and the Southeastern Office of Student Affairs. She has volunteered for the Boys and Girls Club and is Green Bandana Certified.

Tristan Hopkins, a finance major from Cupress, Texas. She is active in the Savage Storm Softball Team, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and Baptist Collegiate Ministries. She was recognized at the Freshman Success Reception and named Athletic Director's Honor Roll and First Generation. Tristian is employed by Tails of Texas. She has volunteered at Washington Irving Elementary, Career Fairs, and softball.

Shiley Johnson, an Early Childhood Education major from Haworth. She is active in Chi Alpha, the Native American Student Association, line dancing club, and Baptist Collegiate Ministries. She was a Team Lead in the Safe Trick-or-Treat Haunted House. She has volunteered at the NASA Stickball Tournament, Southeastern campus events, Hands of Hope, the Semple Family Museum, and decorating North Hall lounge, halls, and PLC board. She is employed as a Housing and Residence Life Desk Clerk here at Southeastern. She has been awarded the Choctaw Higher Education Scholarship as well as the Freshman Success award.

Diego Moran, an aviation-professional pilot major from Fort Worth, Texas. He is active in the Baptist Collegiate Ministries, Spike Ball Club, and Esports. He was named the president of the Spike Ball Club. He has volunteered at the Boys and Girls club during MLK week of service, President's Leadership Class competition days, President's Leadership Class orientation and enrollment day, and SpringFest's Mud Volleyball. He has been awarded the Esports scholarship. He is employed at Choctaw Casino as a pool attendant.

Chloe Murphy, a nursing major from Allen, Texas. She is active in the Savage Storm Track Team. She has been selected for leadership roles during the Haunted House and Cansmas events. She has volunteered at Durant Elementary School, the Special Olympics, and the Durant High School Track Meet. She has been awarded a scholarship for Track and Field.

Wyatt Richeson, an aviation major from Granbury, Texas. He is active in Baptist College Ministries, the First Methodist Church, and has been active in Spike Ball in the past. He has been selected as the Lead of Maintenance for the Haunted House and the Lead for making Can Drive Slides. He has volunteered at Boys and Girls Club, SE Campus events, and is Green Bandana Certified. He is employed at Auto Zone in Durant. He has been awarded scholarships from the Salvation Army, Jr. Optimist, and several others.

Mackenzie Robinson, a chemistry major from Longview, Texas. She is active in Cross Country, Track, Pre-Health Association, and Student Athlete Advisory Committee. She has been selected for Savage Storm Leaders. She has volunteered for the Coltons Run, SE Campus Events, Boys and Girls Club, Hands of Hope, the Special Olympics, Campus Cleanup, Durant High School Track Meet, and Small Town Christmas. She has been awarded Vice President's Honor Roll, Athletic Director Honor Roll and Cross Country/Track scholarships.

Hunter Romero, an accounting major from Durant. He is active in Rainbow Connection and the SE Marketing Club. He has been elected Vice-President of the SE Marketing Club and a Team Lead for the Haunted House. He has volunteered for Hands of Hope, the Haunted House, Purse Bingo, and he has spoken at DIS. He has been awarded the Oscar and Nettie Belle scholarship, Freshman Success award, and Vice-President's Honor Roll. He has worked for the Office of Student Life here at Southeastern, Silo Dawg Spaw, and M. Farm as a farm hand. He will be applying to the Co-Op internship at the Choctaw Headquarters as well.

Colby Short, a biological health science major from Sherman, Texas. He is involved in the Southeastern football team. He also was named the spring team football leader. He has volunteered at the President's Leadership Class Haunted House, College Career Fair, and the Special Olympics. He has been awarded the Athletic Directors Honor Roll, President's Honor Roll, and the Freshman Success Reception. He is employed by Lowe's in Durant.

Reid Thompson, a business major from Durant. He is active in the Spike Ball Club and the Baptist Collegiate Ministries. He has volunteered at the Haunted House, Colton's Run, SE Live, the College Career Fair, and several SE Campus events. He has previously worked for the Choctaw Nation as a Pool Attendant.

Cole Vukich, an aviation-professional pilot major from University Place, Wash. He is involved in the Women in Aviation and the Line Dance Club. He was an officer for the Line Dance Club. He was recognized at the Freshman Success Reception. He has Volunteered at the Hands of Hope Food Bank, Boys and Girls Club, and Southeastern's Campus Clean-up event. He has also been awarded the Aviation Fish Fry Scholarship, and Lt. Schmitz Foundation Scholarship. and Sam Walker, an occupational health and safety major from Kingston. He is active on the Savage Storm Football team, the Baptist Collegiate Ministries, and FCA. He had been selected for a leadership role during the Haunted House event. He has volunteered at the Boys and Girls Club, the Haunted House, the Bingo Banquet, and SE Live. He has been awarded a football scholarship. He currently works as a lifeguard for Choctaw Casino and Resorts.
