Washington, DC - Congresswoman Claudia Tenney (NY-24) today announced the 20 projects she has submitted to the House Appropriations Committee for consideration through the Fiscal Year 2027 (FY27) Community Project Funding (CPF) process.
The Community Project Funding process allows municipalities and nonprofit organizations to submit requests for federal funding for high-priority projects with strong local support. Each submission is reviewed to ensure transparency, accountability, and that taxpayer dollars are directed toward projects that deliver measurable benefits to communities across NY-24. This year's submissions focus on strengthening infrastructure, enhancing public safety, investing in clean water and drinking water systems, and supporting workforce development across Upstate New York.
"Bureaucrats in Washington do not know our communities better than the people who actually live and work here," said Congresswoman Claudia Tenney. "These projects reflect the priorities of local leaders across NY-24 and focus on delivering real results. From upgrading water systems and supporting first responders to investing in workforce development and economic growth, these submissions put our communities first. I will continue fighting to ensure these projects are funded and that every federal dollar sent back to our district is spent responsibly and effectively."
A list of Rep Tenney's submitted FY27 projects can be found below:
Community leaders who submitted and worked with Rep. Tenney's office on various funding proposals expressed their appreciation for her advocacy:
"The Town of Brutus thanks Congresswoman Claudia Tenney for selecting the Town of Brutus and the Village of Jordan's Joint Sanitary Sewer System Improvements Project for submission to the House Appropriations Committee for review and consideration. While not glamorous, this project represents an investment in our Town's infrastructure and long-term sustainability. These improvements will support Brutus' continued commitment to enhancing essential services for residents, while safeguarding local water resources from potential contamination. "We appreciate Congresswoman Tenney's continued and fierce advocacy on behalf of Central New York residents and her recognition of the importance of investing in communities like the Town of Brutus," said Amy L. Chirco, Town of Brutus Acting Supervisor.

For many of our rural residents, access to safe, reliable drinking water has not been a given, but rather a daily uncertainty. This project is more than infrastructure, it is peace of mind, improved health, and a renewed sense of dignity for the families it will serve.
Thanks to this critical support, we are finally in a position to break ground as soon as this Summer - an important and long-awaited milestone for our community. We are profoundly grateful for this partnership and the shared commitment to ensuring that no resident goes without a basic necessity that so many others rightfully take for granted. Thank you again for the continued support to the residents of Cape Vincent and the North Country," said Christine Stark, Town Supervisor, Cape Vincent.

Her support helps advance a project that will lead to a cleaner environment, improved public health protections, and long-term cost savings for system users. The project area is in close proximity t o the Fort Drum Army Base, and the upgraded infrastructure will combine flows from both Fort Drum and the Town of Pamelia before treatment at the City of Watertown Wastewater Treatment Plant. This coordinated regional approach is essential to ensuring reliable service for residents, businesses, and the many active-duty and retired military families who call our community home. We are grateful for Congresswoman Tenney's continued advocacy and partnership as we work t o modernize essential infrastructure and support responsible growth in the Town of Pamelia," said Scott Allen, Town of Pamelia Supervisor.

"On behalf of the Town of Porter residents, I would like to thank Congresswoman Tenny and all of her staff for their efforts in securing funding for the Town of Porter. This is the last of cast iron waterlines in the Town of Porter and they are 60 years old! With Congresswoman Tenney's appropriations, Porter will be able to supply clean water to its residents and also have the ability to have full capacity to fight fires, that the 60-year-old lines could not. Porter is a 45 square mile Town that includes the Village of Youngstown. Congresswoman Tenny's appropriation to our small Town is absolutely astronomical for Porter's tax payers! We cannot thank you enough!" said Duffy Johnston, Town of Porter Supervisor.
"On behalf of the residents of Ontario County and the Ontario County Humane Society, we extend our sincere appreciation to Congresswoman Claudia Tenney for championing inclusion of our funding request in this year's appropriations bill. For more than 40 years, this system has protected the lake that supports our community's recreation, jobs, and quality of life. Today, aging infrastructure threatens that progress. This project will modernize the system, improve reliability, and help ensure Honeoye Lake remains a clean, vibrant resource for residents and visitors. With limited local resources, federal support is essential, and we appreciate the Congresswoman's commitment to our community and to protecting Honeoye Lake for future generations." said Bill Wellman, Chairman, Ontario County Board of Supervisors.

We have suffered for a number of years with poor water quality and quantity, and this is one of the first times government has stepped in to really help us. I thank you for that," said Stephen L. Miller, Town of Reading Supervisor.
"The Town of Hastings is the largest town in Oswego County and has always been a leader in advancing access to public sewer infrastructure for our residents and businesses. I am proud to continue this tradition by advancing the South Central Sewer District, the Town's largest expansion yet, which will extend sewer service to more than 1,000 residents and businesses within our Town. This vital infrastructure project will support existing residents in need of reliable sewer infrastructure while providing capacity for the continued residential and commercial growth we expect to see as a result of the neighboring Micron project. This project represents a significant $72 million investment into the future of our Town and grant funding is critical to keeping user costs affordable for our residents. I am thankful to Congresswoman Tenney for her continued support of our Town and affordable funding for this this vital infrastructure project," said Tony Bush, Supervisor, Town of Hastings.

She has paid tribute to our veterans at the Cemetery, on the site of the former Sampson Naval and Air Force base where over 750,000 sailors and airmen trained to defend our Nation in battles across the globe, from World War II, Korea, Vietnam and every conflict through the Gulf Wars," concluded Chairman Nozzolio.
"On behalf of the Village of Newark, I extend our sincere thanks to Congresswoman Tenney for championing this critical investment in our infrastructure. The proposed reconstruction of North Main Street will include streetscape improvements, including new sidewalks and lighting to enhance pedestrian and bicycle safety, new water and sewer lines for safer drinking water and improved utilities. This project will improve highway drainage and the overall appearance of the roadway. North Main Street is a gateway to our village from the North and a key route for Newark Schools, visitors from the Erie Canal, and the Newark-Wayne Hospital. North Main Street supports our Downtown Revitalization Initiative (DRI) projects and is vital to the revitalization of our community," said Jonathan Taylor, Mayor, Village of Newark.
"The Village of Arcade would like to extend its gratitude to Congresswoman Tenney for selecting the Village as one of projects to be included in the Fiscal Year 2027 Community Project Funding process. The proposed potable water replacement project will replace approximately 3,200 feet of critical distribution piping in the heart of the Village, which is currently over 80-years old. This project will allow for more reliable water service to residents of the Village and customers within neighboring municipalities, further assisting other community revitalization efforts. We are thankful for the Congresswoman's continued commitment to funding necessary public infrastructure and this step towards revitalizing our downtown district," said Derek Rule, Asst. Supt. Public Works.
"With approximately 240 water customers in the village, the cost of an $8 million infrastructure improvement is especially challenging-especially when our main water system is nearly a century old. This federal funding significantly reduces the burden on our ratepayers and helps keep water rates as affordable as possible. I am very appreciative of everything Congresswoman Claudia Tenney and her office have done to help us secure these critical funds," said Brian P. Flynn, Mayor, Village of Dresden.
