Comarch announces the appointment of Dr. Łukasz Bolikowski as Chief AI Officer, strengthening the company's executive leadership in the field of Artificial Intelligence. The experienced specialist will formally assume his new role on November 1. His mission will be to define Comarch's strategic directions in AI development and to oversee the implementation of innovative AI-driven solutions across the company's products and services. He will report directly to Comarch's CEO, Jarosław Mikos.

Dr. Łukasz Bolikowski, Partner at Boston Consulting Group, is a recognized expert in AI-powered business transformation. For more than two decades, he has successfully bridged scientific research with business practice, designing data-driven solutions that deliver measurable impact to the world's leading enterprises.

He is the author of over thirty scientific publications in machine learning, data analysis, and natural language processing, cited more than 800 times (h-index = 13). He developed three patented AI and data analytics solutions, including the breakthrough SKU2VEC method for basket analysis. As the founder and head of the Applied Data Analysis Lab at the University of Warsaw, he led research on natural language processing and air transport modeling. In addition, he served as an expert for the European Commission in ICT and Digital Humanities, evaluating EU-level research projects.

- I am proud that we will now work side by side with such a highly respected expert. The journey toward becoming an AI-driven organization is not just about technology- it is above all about people," said Comarch CEO, Jarosław Mikos. "For us, AI is not a passing trend but a long-term commitment. With the support of our newly appointed Chief AI Officer, Comarch solutions will further accelerate time-to-market and reduce costs, enabling our clients to operate faster, more precisely, and more efficiently. This is how we understand Artificial Intelligence-as a foundation for growth and competitive advantage, he added.

Dr. Bolikowski himself remarked that he is a long-distance runner - both literally and figuratively - a quality closely aligned with Comarch's culture, Mikos noted.

- We stand on the brink of a technological revolution that will transform our world beyond recognition, said Dr. Bolikowski. - In this new reality, success will belong to those companies that can harness the full potential of Artificial Intelligence. With its clearly defined vision of AI-driven transformation, Comarch is uniquely positioned to become a leader in the adoption of this technology. A strong market position, highly capable product teams, and a commitment to embedding AI into every aspect of the business - this is our recipe for success. After nearly a decade of implementing AI solutions for the world's largest corporations, I am proud to bring my experience to this icon of Polish IT.

Dr. Łukasz Bolikowski has more than 20 years of experience in delivering measurable business impact through data-driven Artificial Intelligence applications (ML, OR, Generative AI) across industries and research.

Before joining Comarch as Chief AI Officer, he served as Vice President of Data Science at BCG X, where he led global deployments of AI/ML and Generative AI in retail, telecommunications, financial services, and heavy industry, generating hundreds of millions of dollars in annual value.

Earlier, he founded the Applied Data Analysis Lab at the University of Warsaw, where he developed machine learning methods for large-scale text and data analysis, as well as blockchain-based systems for scholarly communication. He has served as an expert to the European Commission and OECD and authored patents and scientific publications in machine learning, distributed systems, and large-scale data analytics.

Dr. Bolikowski has particular expertise in retail (including three patents), aviation, and heavy industry. As an early adopter of new paradigms, he has worked with Big Data (Hadoop since 2007), Blockchain (publishing solutions in 2015), and Large Language Models (using GPT-2 since 2019). He combines deep technical expertise with strategic vision, and his current interests include Generative AI, quantum computing, probabilistic programming, causal inference, and brain-computer interfaces.
