Tecta America Announces Stephanie Osborn as Operating Unit President at Empire Roofing – Austin

Tecta America is pleased to announce that Stephanie Osborn will be joining Empire Roofing - Austin as Operating Unit President, effective October 5. As part of this transition, Steve Jones will move into a Vice President role.

Stephanie brings more than a decade of experience in the commercial roofing industry. She got her start in Dallas at Merit Roofing, spending a year in the service department learning the fundamentals of the business, before joining Avco Commercial Roofing in Tyler, Texas, as the company's second employee and an assistant project manager.

Stephanie advanced steadily through the organization and, in September 2021, was named Vice President of Commercial. At the time, the company was operating at roughly a half-million-dollar deficit; within her first 12 months in the role, she turned the business cash positive and grew revenue from $8 million to $10 million. She went on to become CEO, and during her tenure she helped launch the company's service department and metal fabrication division, growing both into standalone, profitable operations.

"We're excited to welcome Stephanie to the Empire Roofing - Austin team," said Todd Stugelmayer, Chief Operating Officer of Tecta America. "Her track record of turning around operations and building strong, engaged teams makes her a great fit to lead Austin into its next chapter."

Stephanie has admired Empire Roofing for years, having competed against the brand earlier in her career. "I've looked up to Empire as the gold standard of roofing in Texas for about ten years," she said. "Getting the opportunity to step in and help grow that name is something I never could have imagined for myself."

As she steps into her new role, Stephanie plans to grow Empire's service division through a concierge-style approach to customer service, working closely with the sales and business development teams. She also plans to prioritize company culture. "Life is too short to work somewhere you don't enjoy being," she said. "I want to build the kind of organization people want to be a part of - one that people are proud to recommend to their friends."

As part of this transition, Steve Jones will move into a Vice President position, continuing to support Empire Roofing's ongoing growth and success.

Outside of work, Stephanie is a certified Master Gardener in Texas and enjoys hockey (a Chicago Blackhawks fan), painting, and hiking. She lives with her husband, Logan, and their cat, Nobu.

Please join us in welcoming Stephanie to Empire Roofing - Austin and in congratulating Steve on his new role.
