NTCA Urges FCC to Preserve Broadband Map Accuracy, Review Mapping Rules

(July 24) In a filing with the FCC, NTCA urged the commission to reject proposals that would weaken the evidentiary standards for restoring broadband coverage claims to the National Broadband Map, arguing the changes would reduce map accuracy and conflict with the Broadband DATA Act. NTCA also called for a comprehensive review of the FCC's broadband mapping rules and challenge processes to improve reporting standards, address persistent inaccuracies and increase transparency.
