Modern Woodmen of America announces board changes

James E. Temperley, Bonita Springs, Florida, will retire from Modern Woodmen of America's board of directors, effective Jan. 1. Bruce K. Baude, Carmel, Indiana, has been appointed to fill the fraternal financial services organization's board position.

Temperley served on Modern Woodmen's board since February 2017. With decades of experience in financial reporting, forecasting, budgeting and financial analysis, he provided valuable insight to the board during his tenure.

Baude brings broad experience in financial services to the board and Modern Woodmen members nationwide. He has served in chief executive officer and chief operating officer roles in the life/health insurance, payment processing and banking industries. A board member of MIB (a mutual association of life insurers that works to improve industry efficiencies) since 2019, Baude currently serves as vice chair and chair of the compensation committee.
