Four Galliford Try employees shortlisted for British Forces in Business Awards

Four members of Galliford Try's team have been nominated for the British Forces in Business Awards, the world's largest celebration of ex-military in second careers demonstrating how a successful transition can be made by those service leavers.

The nominees are Peter Fish, Senior HSE Advisor for Galliford Try Infrastructure who has been shortlisted for Role Model of the Year; Kevin Fenton, Site Agent for Galliford Try Infrastructure who has been recognised for the Engineering Excellence Award; John Room, Geospatial Engineer for Galliford Try Environment in the New Service Leader of the Year category; and Michael Pryce, Project Manager for Galliford Try Environment for the Military Values in Business Award.

Earlier this year, Pam McNeill, Business Assurance Manager at Galliford Try Fabrications, won the category for Engineering Excellence in the Scottish Ex-Forces in Business's Awards.

Bill Hocking, Chief Executive of Galliford Try, commented: "We're incredibly proud to see our people recognised in this year's shortlist. Their achievements reflect not only individual dedication and professionalism, but also the immense value that former service personnel bring to our business. It's inspiring to see their skills and experiences continue to make a positive impact in a civilian setting.

"I congratulate all of our people who have been shortlisted for these significant awards and wish them all the best of luck for the awards in June."

Winners will be announced at an awards ceremony on 25 June in London.

As a longstanding Armed Forces-friendly employer, Galliford Try has supported service leavers since signing the Armed Forces Corporate Covenant in 2016, working with the Career Transition Partnership to help them build successful civilian careers reflected in this year's Army Awards finalists.

Galliford Try holds a Gold Award in the Defence Employer Recognition Scheme (ERS), the highest badge of honour for organisations that demonstrate outstanding support to the Armed Forces community, and a listing in the Top 50 Employers for Veterans by the GREAT British Employers of Veterans programme.
