Netflix Releases Key Art for 'USA 94: Brazil's Return to Glory', a Documentary That Takes Fans Behind the Scenes of Brazil's 1994 World Cup Victory

São Paulo, April 9, 2026 - Netflix has released the key art for USA 94: Brazil's Return to Glory , a documentary that depicts the Brazilian national team's World Cup title run in 1994 in the United States. Premiering May 7, the film shows how the team won its fourth World Cup through exclusive player interviews, revealing their point of view, as well as new footage from behind the scenes.

After their loss in the 1990 World Cup and a dramatic performance in qualifiers that came down to a final round of elimination games, the Brazilian team arrived in the U.S. with low morale and facing tremendous pressure. The film highlights the players and coaches' experiences as they rose to claim Brazil's coveted fourth World Cup title, 24 years after winning their third in Mexico in 1970.

The documentary includes intimate, spontaneous memories from the 1994 team, recorded by two members of the team itself: goalie Gilmar Rinaldi, who filmed practices and time spent as a group on video cassette, and right-back Jorginho, who filmed more than six hours of footage of the team's day-to-day experience.

These never-before-seen clips appear alongside interviews with stars such as Romário, Bebeto, Branco, Raí, Zinho, Dunga, Márcio Santos, and Viola; several members of the Italian team, among them Gianluca Pagliuca and Demetrio Albertini; and many other rivals who contested Brazil for the title. USA 94: Brazil's Return to Glory is a Trailer Films production, directed, written, and produced by Luis Ara.

About USA 94: Brazil's Return to Glory

This is the story of Brazil's fourth World Cup title, won in 1994, as told by its key protagonists: the players from the Brazilian team and their rivals. The film was created using previously unseen content recorded by the athletes themselves over the course of the tournament. This is the story of Brazil's return to glory for the first time since the golden days of Pelé. The team that arrived at the World Cup dealt with skeptics in the press and distrust from fans. But thanks to teamwork, the leadership of captain Dunga, and goals from Bebeto and Romário, they won their fourth title.
