Gov. Katie Hobbs Launches First Campaign Ads of Competitive Arizona General Election
Today, Arizona Gov. Katie Hobbs released the first ads of her reelection campaign in one of the cycle's most competitive gubernatorial races. The ads that her campaign announced today - "Work" and "No Se Rinde" - are part of a multimillion-dollar statewide media campaign aimed at reaching Arizonans in both English and Spanish, and focus on Gov. Hobbs' working-class background and commitment to continuing to lower costs for Arizonans.
Independent race raters are calling the race for governor in Arizona a toss-up. Gov. Hobbs flipped the governor's office in 2022 by the narrowest margin in any governor's race that year. Since then, Trump carried the state by nearly 6 points in 2024, the largest margin in any swing state.

"While Arizona is going to be one of the most competitive races for governor in the entire country, Gov. Katie Hobbs is in a position of strength because she understands how chaotic policies from DC are raising costs and has a real record of working across the aisle to make life better for working families," said DGA Communications Director Sam Newton. "The stakes of this race are incredibly high, and we know national Republicans will use everything they have to flip Arizona. Gov. Hobbs' campaign is ready for it, hitting the airwaves in English and Spanish, and planning to keep her foot on the gas all the way until November."
