LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA - U.S. Representative Laura Friedman (CA-30) toured the Children's Hospital Los Angeles and received a comprehensive overview of services offered by the hospital. Representative Friedman also discussed ways that hospital operations, from research and development to patient care, have been impacted by the Trump Administration's actions cutting federal investments and services.

"The quality of care offered by CHLA to all their patients is world-leading. The research they do is cutting edge, and the doctors and medical professionals I've had the chance to speak with are so hopeful about the future. However, the work they do is at risk," said Representative Laura Friedman (CA-30). "I will fight the Trump Administration and their cuts to medical research that would stifle our hopes for a better quality of life for our kids."

Representative Friedman heard from doctors and specialists, as well as hospital leadership, about day-to-day operations and their roles. Children's Hospital Los Angeles is a Level One Trauma Center that is a leading hospital on research for cures to children's diseases.
