Hostilities between Israel and Hezbollah

The Brazilian government is following with great concern the spread of the current conflict in the Middle East to Lebanon following the launch of projectiles by Hezbollah against Israel and Israeli attacks on Lebanese territory, including the region of Beirut.

Brazil condemns these attacks and calls on the parties to immediately cease hostilities. Brazil also urges full compliance with the ceasefire agreement of November 27, 2024, and with United Nations Security Council Resolution 1701 (2006).

There are no reports of Brazilian nationals among the victims of the attacks. The Embassies of Brazil in Lebanon and across the region remain in contact with their respective Brazilian communities and make advisories available on their websites and social media channels.
