CHARLESTON, S.C. (Sept. 29, 2026) - Today, Congresswoman Nancy Mace (SC-01) responded to Kevin Reddington, defense attorney for Lindsay Clancy, after he named Rep. Mace during a court hearing this morning.

During the hearing, Reddington singled out President Trump and Rep. Nancy Mace, calling their public comments "outlandish" as he defended his own conduct toward the holdout juror. After the mistrial, Reddington publicly blamed the lone holdout, identified him as a man, putting a target on his back, and claimed Clancy had been "robbed" by his decision, and said he hoped the juror could "sleep at night." Rep. Mace called for Clancy to be publicly executed in an interview with TMZ.

Rep. Nancy Mace issued the following statement in response:

"Kevin Reddington defends a killer. We are calling for the execution of one.

"Lindsay Clancy's attorney wants everyone to believe he never targeted the lone holdout juror. His own words say otherwise. He blamed the juror for the mistrial. He called him 'that guy.' He put a target on his back.

"We would never hire an attorney with such a lapse in memory. Or judgment.

"Appreciated the shoutout in court this morning, Kevin, but we are not the same."
