Metal Beam Guiderail Upgrades on Route 37 in Sherman

The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that upgrading of existing guiderail will be performed on Route 37 in Sherman from the New Fairfield town line to Route 39. This project is scheduled to occur on Monday, May 18 and be completed by Friday, July 10, 2026. The project 0170-3718 consists of upgrading existing guiderail systems to current standard systems.

This project is being performed by Atlas Fence Company.

LANE CLOSURE/DETOUR INFO

There will be lane closures on Route 37 from Monday, May 18 to Friday, July 10, 2026, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. No work will be performed Holidays. Traffic control signing patterns and flaggers will guide motorists through the work zone.

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this area.
