Expect to see a wave of anime fans take over Downtown Tampa around the Tampa Convention Center! METROCON, the largest anime convention in Florida, returns Friday, July 25 through Sunday, July 27, 2025.

Thousands of attendees, many in showstopping character costumes, will be flowing through the center and surrounding area during the following times:

  • Friday, 7/25: 10am-2:30am
  • Saturday, 7/26: 9am-2:30am
  • Sunday, 7/27: 9am-6pm

Drivers should expect an increase in vehicle and pedestrian traffic in the area. Nearby parking garages will also be busier than usual, particularly Saturday night during the Keyshia Cole concert at Amalie Arena.

Visitors and residents alike are encouraged to consider using alternative modes of transportation whenever possible - including the FREE TECO Line Streetcar, Dash service, HART buses, rideshare options, and rentable scooters.
