ATLANTA - The Georgia House of Representatives' Committee on Assignments reappointed State Representative Noel Williams (R-Cordele) as Chairman of the Banks and Banking Committee.
"I am thankful to Speaker Burns and the Committee on Assignments for allowing me to serve as Chairman of Banks and Banking for another term," said Chairman Williams. "Banking is vital to all Georgians and I look forward working with Georgia's bankers and continuing to serve House District 148 and all of Georgia."
The House Committee on Assignments, chaired by House Speaker Jon Burns (R-Newington), is charged with making all House committee assignments for the members of the Georgia House of Representatives.
The House Banks and Banking Committee has jurisdiction of financial institutions, real property finance and corporate securities law.

Representative Noel Williams, Jr. represents the citizens of District 148, which includes Crisp, Pulaski and Wilcox counties, as well as portions of Ben Hill and Houston counties. He was first elected to the House of Representatives in 2018 and currently serves as Chairman of the Banks and Banking Committee. He also serves on the Game, Fish and Parks, Insurance, Natural Resources and Environment, Retirement, Small Business Development and Ways and Means committees.
