Director-General of TICA meets with Director-General of the Moroccan Agency for International Cooperation

On 4 July 2025, Mr. Chulvat Narinthrangura, Director-General of Thailand International Cooperation Agency (TICA), together with H.E. Mr. Fabio Chinda, Ambassador of Thailand to Morocco, met with Mr. Mohamed Methqal, Director-General of the Moroccan Agency for International Cooperation (AMCI), to discuss ways to strengthen Thailand - Morocco development cooperation.

Both sides expressed satisfaction with the dynamism of development cooperation between Thailand and Morocco. At the bilateral level, notable cooperation efforts includes the provision of Annual International Training Course (AITC) scholarships to Moroccan personnel and the Thailand - Morocco Sustainable Community Development Project. The latter has resulted in the Thai side handing over solar-powered Parabola Dome Dryer technology to Morocco. At the trilateral level, both sides noted the success of joint training courses co-organized by AMCI and TICA. These include a course on Climate Change, held in Morocco in May 2024 for participants from African countries, and an upcoming course on Food Security, to be held in Thailand in 2025 for participants from ASEAN countries. In addition, Thailand hosted the Thailand-Africa Development Forum in May 2025, to which Morocco sent representatives to discuss and explore further cooperation with Thailand.

The year 2025 marks a significant milestone, commemorating the 40th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Thailand and Morocco, and the 10th anniversary of the signing of the MoU on Technical Cooperation between the two sides.
