The University of Hawai'i Sea Grant College Program, the Maui Surfrider Foundation and partners invite the community to join an environmentally-focused gathering at Kapukaulua (Baldwin Beach) on June 5, in celebration of World Environment Day. Participants will be breaking into groups and sweeping the beach to remove marine debris.
There will also be opportunities to learn about the progress of dune restoration, coastal resilience efforts, and ongoing stewardship activities.
WHAT: World Ocean Day - Beach Cleanup
WHEN: Friday, June 5, 4-5:30 p.m.
WHERE: Baldwin Beach - meet by the main lot where the pavilion once stood

Please bring your questions as well as your own mug, water, beach chair or blanket and sunscreen.
