BRADFORD, PA - Families in the Bradford area can continue to count on local pediatric care at the former Bradford Regional Medical Center campus, now Bradford Medical Park, where Joseph Goro, MD, pediatrics, continues to provide comprehensive care for infants, children and adolescents close to home.

The campus transitioned to an outpatient services center earlier this year. Pediatric services remain an important part of the healthcare available in Bradford. From well-child visits and annual physicals to immunizations, acute illness care and management of chronic conditions, local families can continue receiving care from the team they know and trust.

For many families, having a pediatrician close to home means more than convenience. It means building lasting relationships with a provider who understands their child's health history and can partner with parents through every stage of development.

"Children's healthcare is about much more than treating illness," said Dr. Goro, pediatrician. "It's about helping children grow into healthy adults through preventive care, early intervention and strong partnerships with families. I'm proud to continue caring for the children of Bradford and the surrounding communities, and I look forward to serving families for years to come."

Pediatric services available in Bradford include:

  • Well-child visits and annual physicals
  • Immunizations
  • School, sports and camp physicals
  • Sick visits
  • Preventive screenings
  • Management of chronic childhood conditions
  • Growth and developmental monitoring
  • Referrals and coordination with pediatric specialists when needed

"Strong communities begin with healthy children," said Bradley J. Chapman, president, Olean General Hospital. "Providing local pediatric care gives families access to trusted providers close to home while helping children receive the preventive care they need to grow and thrive. We remain committed to supporting local healthcare services that meet the needs of families throughout the Bradford region."

The evolution of healthcare in Bradford has been about sustainability. Supporting local services like pediatrics will continue to allow these services to be here for the community.

"When families choose to receive care in Bradford, they are supporting the providers and caregivers who are committed to this community," Chapman said. "Every patient who chooses local care helps strengthen outpatient healthcare services and supports our ongoing commitment to this community."

Healthcare continues to play an important role in Bradford, and pediatric care remains a cornerstone of that commitment.

"Our goal is to provide as many healthcare services as possible right here in the community," Chapman added. "Pediatric care is an essential part of that mission because healthy children build healthy families and a healthier community."

Families also benefit from a more connected healthcare experience through Epic, Kaleida Health's electronic health record. Using MyChart, parents and guardians can communicate with their child's care team, request appointments, review test results and access health information in one convenient location, making it easier to coordinate care across Kaleida Health and other community partners.
