APPLICATIONS OPEN FOR 2025 CHARLESTON CHRISTMAS PARADE

(Charleston, W. Va.) - The City of Charleston today announced that 2025 Charleston Christmas Parade applications are available online at charlestonwv.gov/christmasparade through November 25, 2025. This year's Christmas Parade theme, Tinsel Town, brings together holiday cheer and movie magic - with glitz, glitter, bright lights, and showtime spirit taking center stage. The parade will step off on Thursday, December 11, at 7 p.m. "The Charleston Christmas Parade is one of our city's favorite holiday traditions-a night when families line the streets, community members come together, and the spirit of the season shines bright," said Mayor Amy Shuler Goodwin. "This year's Tinsel Town theme brings a little extra sparkle to the celebration, and we can't wait to see the creativity our community brings to the parade route." Local businesses, organizations, and school groups are encouraged to apply. Applications will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis, and no more than one application per entity will be accepted. To ensure a safe and manageable parade experience for both participants and spectators, participation will be limited to approximately 125 entries. If applications exceed this number, they will be considered in the order received, so early submission is encouraged. The anticipated parade route will start at Kanawha Boulevard & Capitol Street >> Capitol Street >> Washington Street >> Summers Street >> exit westbound on Kanawha Boulevard.
