Rep. Cherfilus-McCormick Issues Statement on the House Passage of Haiti Trade Program HOPE/HELP

Today, Congresswoman Sheila Cherfilus-McCormick (D-FL) issued the following statement on the House passage reauthorizing the Haiti HOPE/HELP trade preference program:

"I am proud that the House has passed the reauthorization of the Haiti HOPE/HELP program, a bipartisan priority that I helped lead and fought to advance this Congress. I worked closely with colleagues on both sides of the aisle to deliver a critical win that protects American and Haitian jobs, strengthen our supply chains, and provide much-needed economic stability for the Haitian people.

The legislation now moves to the Senate, and I am hopeful for swift action and quick enactment to ensure this vital program continues without interruption and continues delivering tangible results for workers, families, and businesses."
