Massachusetts Man Charged with Distributing Synthetic Opioids that Resulted in Second Death

BOSTON - A Rockland, Mass. man has been charged with a second count of drug distribution which allegedly resulted in the death of a victim in Slippery Rock, Penn. in October 2025.

Jaden Zion Andre, 23, has been charged in a superseding indictment with a second count of drug distribution resulting in death. Andre was previously indicted in August 2026 with eight counts of drug distribution, including one count of drug distribution that resulted in the death of a victim in Las Vegas, Nev., in April 2025.

According to the charging documents, Andre operated a Telegram channel called "MontanaSnacksLLC" and a Proton Mail account called "SnackSeason," which he used to communicate with his drug customers. As part of his operation, Andre allegedly concealed his synthetic opioids in snack bags, which he then distributed through the United States mail to his customers across the country.

On Oct. 3, 2025, a package allegedly shipped through "SnackSeason" was delivered to a woman in Pennsylvania who had requested a narcotics sample. The package had been mailed on Oct. 1, 2025, at approximately 4:12 p.m. from a post office in Lowell, Mass. The woman was found dead three days later. A residual substance recovered from the crime scene tested positive for N-propionitrile chlorphine (Cychlorphine), an analogue of the schedule I controlled substance brorphine. A review of the woman's cell phone allegedly revealed messages between her account and SnackSeason, which was believed to be operated by Andre:

According to the charging documents, Andre had previously mailed a package containing Cychlorphine to an officer acting in an undercover capacity on Aug. 2, 2025, at approximately 1:01 p.m., from a post office in Worcester, Mass.

It is alleged that Andre's drug trafficking operation continued through May 2026, with additional packages from MontanaSnacksLLC or SnackSeason connected to overdose deaths in Florida and Georgia. Those deaths remain under investigation.

The charge of distribution of controlled substances resulting in death provides for a sentence of no less than 20 years and up to life in prison, at least three years of supervised release and a fine of up to $1 million. Sentences are imposed by a federal district court judge based upon the U.S. Sentencing Guidelines and statutes which govern the determination of a sentence in a criminal case.

In performing this work, the HSTF places special emphasis on investigating and prosecuting those engaged in child trafficking or other crimes involving children. The HSTF further utilizes all available tools to prosecute and remove the most violent criminal aliens from the United States. HSTF Boston is comprised of agents and officers from HSI, FBI, DEA, ATF, USMS, IRS-CI, USPIS, DOL-OIG, DSS and CBP as well as several state and local law enforcement agencies, with the prosecution being led by the United States Attorney's Office for the District of Massachusetts.
