Mercyhealth welcomes endocrinologist

Mercyhealth is pleased to welcome Aniqa Zaidi, DO, endocrinologist, to Mercyhealth Alpine, 7702 N. Alpine Rd., Loves Park.

"My philosophy of care is centered on a patient-empowered approach-listening to my patients, understanding their concerns and goals, and working with them to develop an individualized care plan grounded in evidence-based medicine," said Dr. Zaidi. "I believe in taking the time to understand each patient beyond their diagnosis, including the medical, emotional, and social factors that can influence their health. As endocrinology is a complex specialty, I value a multidisciplinary approach that provides comprehensive, coordinated treatment. My goal is to help patients understand their condition, so they feel comfortable making informed decisions about their health and are supported throughout their care."

After earning her medical degree at NYIT College of Osteopathic Medicine, Old Westbury, New York, Dr. Zaidi served a residency at Mercyhealth Internal Medicine Residency Program, Rockford. She then completed an endocrinology fellowship at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science, North Chicago, Illinois.
