Highway Lane Closures
State Routes 4 & 49

Calaveras County- The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will perform various lane closures on State Route 4 (SR-4) and SR-49 for maintenance and construction operations. Work to occur as follows:

State Route 4

• One-way traffic control at Vallecito Bypass Road for utility work beginning Sunday, October 20, 2024, through Wednesday, October 23, 2024, from 9:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m.
• One-way traffic control from Moran Road to Upper Moran Road for utility work beginning Monday, October 21, 2024, through Friday, October 25, 2024, from 8:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.

State Route 49

• One-way traffic control from Calaveras River to Gold Strike Road for utility work beginning Monday, October 21, 2024, through Friday, October 25, 2024, from 8:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.

Motorists should expect 5-to-10-minute delays and use alternate routes whenever possible. This work is scheduled to occur as listed but is subject to change due to traffic incidents, weather, availability of equipment/materials, and construction-related issues.
