Hubble Network Raises $200M Series C and Opens Satellite Coverage to Every Bluetooth Device

Today, Hubble Network announced a $200 million Series C at a $1.6 billion valuation, led by Smith Point Capital and including a follow-on investment from Earthshot, bringing total funding to $300 million. Hubble also announced that it opened its satellite network so that any device with a Bluetooth chip can now connect directly to its global communication network. Earthshot first invested in Hubble's Series B last year, and we doubled down in this round.

What Hubble Network Does

Cellular networks reach only about 15% of the Earth's landmass. Beyond that, connectivity has required satellite hardware costing $10 to $50 or more per tracker, so only the most valuable assets get tracked. This costs businesses millions annually in theft and loss, and creates gaps in connectivity for high impact applications like remote grid or wildfire monitoring.

Hubble turns the Bluetooth radio already inside a device into a global beacon with just a firmware update, bringing the cost of connectivity hardware below 50 cents. The same chip works across two networks: a Terrestrial Network of more than 100 million gateways in 170 countries, and a satellite constellation that reaches oceans, deserts, and industrial sites far beyond cellular coverage.

What Just Happened

→ Satellite coverage is now open to everyone. After successful pilot operations, now any company can access Hubble's global network.

→ An expanding constellation. Hubble operates six satellites today, and the new capital will fund 60 by 2030. More than 500,000 devices are now active on Hubble's network, more than 10x as many as a year ago.

→ A growing ecosystem. Partnerships with Texas Instruments, InPlay, and Reelables extend the network to gateway-free sensors, low-cost item tracking, and smart labels.

Why We Invested

→ A founding team that has built at scale. CEO Alex Haro co-founded Life360 and helped grow it into a public company with more than 90 million monthly active users. Co-founder Ben Wild invented and led product for Amazon Sidewalk.

→ A massive market locked out by cost. Billions of IoT devices depend on cellular or Wi-Fi coverage. By making satellite connectivity more affordable and compatible with Bluetooth chips already in use, Hubble has a path to serve this market and scale quickly.

→ A true technology breakthrough. In 2024, Hubble made the first-ever Bluetooth connection to a satellite. Its patented phased-array antennas let customers add global coverage with a software update instead of new hardware.

→ Infrastructure at planetary scale. Affordable global connectivity makes remote environmental monitoring, precision agriculture, and more efficient supply chains viable at scale.

Earthshot backs the physical foundation of the AI era: critical minerals, clean energy, efficient computing, and AI-native applications. Hubble gives the physical world low-cost connectivity from anywhere on Earth.

Congratulations to Alex, Ben, and the entire Hubble team!
