2025 Report Highlights Market Trends in Watersports and Fishing Segments

The latest sales trends report for cruisers, watersports, fishing boats and trailers, part of NMMA's 2025 U.S. Recreational Boating Statistical Abstract, is now available. The report covers retail unit sales for each category and by application.
In 2025, the U.S. recreational boat market recorded 220,397 new powerboats sold, with fishing boats leading all categories at 77,434 units, followed by watersports boats, including personal watercraft (PWC) at 71,461 units -a reversal from 2024.
U.S. boat trailer sales reached 198,452 units with market share led by trailers rated over 5,000 lbs., reflecting steady demand across both heavy- and light-duty segments.
