AUTHORIZED ACTIVITIES: On February 6, 2026 the Division of Mining, Land, and Water issued a decision regarding a land use permit to Cruz Construction, Inc. The permit authorizes the winter cross country travel of multiple off-road vehicles hauling approximately 15,000 gallons of fuel for the purpose of aiding in emergency repairs to the Noatak Airport. After the fact notice is being conducted as the permit was needed on an expedited time frame.
