The City of Simi Valley celebrated the dedication and service of more than 200 community volunteers at its annual Volunteer Appreciation Dinner, held on September 9 at the Boys & Girls Club of Simi Valley. This year's "Out of This World" theme recognized the significant contributions volunteers make to City programs and the Simi Valley community.
Members of the Simi Valley City Council, the City Manager, and City staff joined together to recognize volunteers for the time, skills, and commitment they contribute throughout the year. City volunteers support a wide range of programs and services, including senior and library services, cultural programs, public safety initiatives, and community events.
Collectively, City volunteers contribute nearly 45,000 hours of service each year, extending the City's ability to provide programs and services to the community. The evening provided an opportunity to recognize those contributions and thank volunteers for the important role they play throughout the organization.
The "Out of This World" theme was incorporated throughout the evening's program and provided a fun backdrop for celebrating the many individuals who generously give their time in service to the Simi Valley community.
The City of Simi Valley extends its appreciation to all of its volunteers for their continued dedication, enthusiasm, and commitment to serving the community.
