The Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan and Sweden held the round of political consultations

On February 16, the 4th round of political consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan and Sweden took place, in Tashkent.

The Uzbek delegation was led by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Olimjon Abdullaev, while the Swedish delegation was headed by Director General for Euro-Atlantic Affairs and Security Policy of the Swedish Ministry of Foreign Affairs Torbjörn Solström.

During the consultations, the parties discussed the development of bilateral relations in political, trade and economic, cultural and humanitarian, and other areas of mutual interest.

Particular attention was paid to expanding trade and investment cooperation, including exchanges of visits between the relevant ministries and companies of the two countries.

The parties also noted their mutual interest in advancing cooperation in the field of migration by expanding the legal and contractual framework in this area.

In addition, the sides exchanged views on current international and regional issues.

Following the consultations, an agreement was reached to maintain regular dialogue with a view to further strengthening bilateral partnership.
