TA recently gathered 41 senior executives from across its global portfolio for the second year of The TA Accelerate Program, a premier leadership development experience created in collaboration with Harvard Business School (HBS) Executive Education.
For leaders balancing immediate demands with long-term priorities, time to step back, challenge assumptions and exchange ideas with peers is especially valuable. TA Accelerate gives them dedicated time away from day-to-day operations to focus on their development as leaders, which TA views as central to how it supports the companies it partners with. Each cohort also joins a growing network of portfolio executives across TA's sectors and regions.
Over four days, participants took part in faculty-led sessions and discussions on strategy, business transformation and leading through change using the HBS case method. Peer networking throughout the week gave executives from different sectors and regions the chance to compare approaches and build lasting connections.
Kevin Masse, Managing Director and Chief Portfolio Officer at TA, opened the program with a review of the current macro environment, CEO sentiment on business today, and how TA's Strategic Resource Group (SRG) is partnering with portfolio companies to support growth and build resilience. Kevin highlighted several value creation initiatives led by executives in the cohort, anchoring the discussion in participants' own experiences.
"The second year of the TA Accelerate Program reinforced our belief that creating an environment for peer exchange and shared learning can equip portfolio leaders with the tools and confidence to successfully navigate change," said Masse. "It was exciting to see the energy and commitment this cohort brought to campus. We look forward to building on the momentum these executives have created and supporting them as they apply these strategies to their work."
At the closing reception, TA Managing Director Michael Berk brought a practitioner's perspective to the program's themes. Drawing on more than 25 years of partnering with portfolio management teams at TA, he discussed how leadership and strategic decisions shape lasting businesses.
TA extends its gratitude to the participants, TA team members, and HBS faculty and staff whose contributions made the second cohort a success.
