Deputy Minister Wojciech Zajączkowski meets with ambassadors of Gulf Cooperation Council countries

29.10.2025

Poland's cooperation with the Council members as well as regional security issues in the Persian Gulf and NATO's eastern flank were the main topics the deputy chief of Polish diplomacy discussed with ambassadors of the Gulf Cooperation Council member states in Warsaw on 29 October 2025. The meeting was attended by representatives of Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates as well as chargé d'affaires of the embassy of Qatar.

The interlocutors agreed that the implementation of the peace plan for Palestine is an important aspect of current relations between European countries, including Poland, and Arab countries, including members of the Council. Therefore, providing assistance to Palestinians who suffered during the conflict and restoring the infrastructure are of paramount importance. The ambassadors called on Poland to engage in these processes.

The Arab diplomats noted that their countries and Poland share not only trade relations but also stable economic growth and development. Both of these are conducive to developing cooperation in areas such as the digital economy, technology, construction, energy, and transport. The diplomats emphasised, however, that this undertaking requires building a stable political framework, which will be facilitated by political consultations and high-level visits.
