VSP Vision Exam Rebate Through PECAA Surpasses $100 Million, Extended Through 2027 to Deliver Continued Value and Support to Private Practice

Boca Raton, Fla. and Rancho Cordova, Calif. - Professional Eye Care Associates of America (PECAA) and VSP Vision today announce the VSP Vision Exam Rebate will be extended through 2027, enabling PECAA Max members to continue receiving up to $15 per VSP commercial eye exam. The rebate continues to be met with overwhelmingly positive response from doctors with 4,000 practices benefiting from more than $100 million in additional revenue since its inception.

"We remain focused on delivering value and support to private practices," said PECAA President Jonathan Worrall. "Particularly now, amid ongoing economic fluctuations, every PECAA program and initiative is designed to help practice owners stay competitive, meet oncoming challenges and plan for long-term success. Continuing the popular Vision Exam Rebate is just one of the many ways we are committed to helping our member doctors thrive."

Practices that are PECAA Max members by December 31, 2026, and are aligned with a PECAA partner lab by that date are eligible to receive up to $60,000 through the Vision Exam Rebate in 2027. Practices that join PECAA Max in 2027, or those that elect not to align with a PECAA partner lab, are eligible to receive $30,000 in rebate incentives next year. As in previous years, the 2027 program includes no spending requirements.

Launched in July 2023 as a six-month program, the rebate originally enabled members to receive an additional $5 per eye exam and up to $15,000 in one year. Since then, the rebate incentive per exam has tripled to $15 to assist doctors with meeting the demands of private practice ownership in an unpredictable economy.

"Extending the VSP Vision Exam Rebate through 2027 underscores our long-standing commitment to supporting private practice doctors," said VSP Vision Chief Provider Solutions Officer Michelle Skinner. "Together with PECAA, we're continuing to invest in programs and resources that help doctors navigate an evolving business environment while staying focused on what matters most - delivering great patient care."
