Nightly Weekend Lane Closures on I-20 in DeKalb, Fulton for Concrete Rehabilitation
ATLANTA METRO - Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) contractors will install "rolling" lane closures on Interstate 20 (I-20) this weekend as a concrete rehabilitation project continues from Hill Street in Fulton County to Columbia Drive in DeKalb County.
Weather and on-site conditions permitting, crews will install "rolling" lane closures throughout the project limits and at the I-75/I-85 Connector interchange each weekend night beginning 9 p.m. on Friday, October 23 until 5 a.m. the following mornings. As crews complete striping the roadway in one location, the closures will "roll" to the next location.
As always, motorists traveling in the area are reminded to reduce their speeds in the work zone. Motorists are also encouraged to wear seatbelts, eliminate distractions behind the wheel, and plan their routes before getting on the road by calling 511, visiting 511ga.org, or downloading the Georgia 511 app for real-time information on work status and traffic conditions.
Georgia Department of Transportation plans, constructs and maintains Georgia's state and federal highways.
