Cheers to Volunteers!

On Tuesday, 20 May 2025, over 80 community members gathered at the Boddington Sports and Community Club to celebrate National Volunteer Week at the Cheers to Volunteers Sundowner.

Thanks to generous funding from LotteryWest and Volunteering WA, attendees enjoyed refreshing drinks alongside a delicious buffet dinner and dessert catered by the Double Shot Café, followed by the lovely acoustic sounds of Steph Cleary.

Shire President, Eugene Smalberger, delivered a heartfelt acknowledgment to the unsung heroes of Boddington - volunteers who generously give their time and expertise to enrich our community's vibrancy, often with little recognition or reward.

Certificates of appreciation were presented to volunteers from a diverse range of groups, including sporting clubs, emergency services, event organisers, community connectors, and environmental guardians.

The contributions of our volunteers are valued beyond measure. Your dedication does not go unnoticed, and it was truly a pleasure to spend an evening celebrating you!
