Topeka, Kan. - Helping students transition from college to career is the driving focus behind the Washburn University Institute of Technology (Washburn Tech) Spring Career Fair, an event designed to connect students with employers seeking skilled talent.
The two-day event is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. March 5 and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. March 6 in the Washburn Tech Conference Center on the McPherson Campus at 5724 SW Huntoon St. Area employers will be on hand and students will have a chance to meet them and polish their interview skills.
This two-day format gives employers more time with each student. More than 60 area companies are expected to participate in the 2026 Career Fair.
On Thursday, March 5, Health Occupations students in the following programs are invited to attend.
- Associate Degree Nursing (ADN), Advanced EMT, Medication Aide (CMA), Nurse Aide (CNA), Emergency Medical Services (EMS), Foundations of Healthcare Pathways, Home Health Aide, Phlebotomy, Practical Nursing, Sterile Processing, Surgical Technology
On Friday, March 6, students in the following programs are invited to attend:
- Manufacturing (Certified Production Technology, Industrial Machine/Maintenance Technology, Industrial Production Technology, Machining & Manufacturing Technology, Welding Technology)
- Construction (Cabinet/Millwork, Construction Technology, Heating, Ventilation & Air Conditioning (HVAC), Electrical Technology, Plumbing Technology)
- Design & Technology (Graphics Technology, Information Systems Technology, Engineering Drafting & Design)
- Hospitality (Cosmetology, Culinary Arts, Early Childhood Education)
- Transportation (Automotive Collision & Refinishing Technology, Automotive Technology, Diesel Technology)
