The Embassy of Nepal in Muscat successfully organized a comprehensive program on Friday, 05 December 2025 at Nepal House, Muscat. The event featured presentations useful to Nepali workers regarding labour awareness and financial literacy, an interactive session with H.E. the Ambassador, Passport-Consular and Health check-up camp.
The official event commenced with H.E. Dornath Aryal, Ambassador of Nepal to the Sultanate of Oman, lighting the traditional Panas Lamp. A few presentations were made to provide insightful and useful information to the gathering.
The presentations covered important topics including Use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in daily life, maintaining physical and mental well-being while abroad, Social Security Fund, "Do's and Don'ts" in Oman, as well as labour awareness and financial literacy. These sessions aimed at equipping workers with essential information for a safer, more productive life. The presentations were delivered by Mr. Bishesh Kumar Sah, First Secretary; Mr. Damodar Gnawali, Labour Attache; Dr. Kamal Aryal, a Nepali doctor; Mr. Shyam Bhattarai and Mr. Binod Kumar Das, members of the NRN Social Club Oman.
Recognizing the challenges workers face in accessing services during regular working days, the Embassy organized a Passport and Consular service Camp. This initiative specifically targeted individuals unable to take leave on weekdays or those traveling from distant areas. Concurrently, a Health Camp free of cost was conducted by a medical team of 6 members from Badr Al Sama Hospital to provide basic health check-up services. Participants expressed their happiness and appreciation for the special event being held on a weekend, facilitating both awareness and access to essential services.
Prior to the formal occasion, H.E. Dornath Aryal convened the 11th Development Diplomacy meeting in the presence of representatives of Oman based Nepali organizations. Discussions centered on the role of the Embassy, diaspora's contribution to policy reforms and worker's welfare, and coordination for organizing events for Nepal promotion in the field of tourism, investment, trade and employment. Mr. Suresh Khadka, President of NRN Social Club Oman handed over a letter inclusive of suggestions to review relevant policies. The Ambassador addressed queries of committee members in addition to collecting valuable feedback to enhance the effectiveness of service delivery and responsiveness of the embassy.
The Embassy acknowledges the vital support of medical team of Badr Al Sama Hospital, Nepali organizations and volunteers who contributed to the smooth operation of the event. The Embassy is committed to promoting the interests of Nepalis in Oman and conducting similar events in future for the welfare of the Nepali community.
