The Palm Beach County Water Utilities Department (PBCWUD) will be using licensed contractors to perform critical infrastructure upgrades, resulting in a temporary restriction in the traffic pattern near Olympic Heights High School on Lyons Rd. between Glades Rd. and La Fontana Blvd. in Boca Raton.
This work will be ongoing through the weekend and continue until further notice. Motorists, students and families are advised to exercise caution, and plan for additional travel time as they approach the entrance to the school, which reopens for the school year on August 10.
Olympic Heights High School-area Traffic Impacts:
Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office (PBSO) will have deputies in place Monday, August 10 beginning at 6:00 a.m. to assist with directing school traffic. Digital indicators, safety devices, and visible work zone perimeters are also in place to guide motorists (see illustration below)
PBCWUD apologizes for the inconvenience and appreciates the community's patience as this work is completed safely and efficiently.
