CHANDLER, Ariz. - Chandler's Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Division and Chandler Public Library invite the community to four Diwali celebrations at each library branch. Diwali is one of the most popular festivals of Hinduism and serves as a beautiful reminder that light protects us from spiritual darkness.
The four celebrations include:
Diwali Festival of Lights Celebration
Saturday, Nov. 2 | 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Downtown Chandler Library, 22 S. Delaware St.
Attendees can immerse themselves in India's rich beauty on the library's second floor with vibrant dance performances and music that captures the spirit of Diwali. Visit Diwali Festival of Lights to view the performance schedule. There also will be hands-on crafts available in The Makery, plus face and henna painting. This event is sponsored by SRP.
Diwali Family Festival
Friday, Oct. 25 | 5:30-7:30 p.m.
Hamilton Library, 3700 S. Arizona Ave.
Experience the beauty of Indian culture with dance performances, audience dancing and family crafts.
