ATLANTA - State Representative Rhonda Taylor (D-Conyers) will host a "2026 Constituents Speak Series Kickoff: Post-Session Legislative Update" town hall meeting on Saturday, May 23, 2026, at 10 a.m. at the Conyers-Rockdale Library in Conyers, Georgia.
"Our communities deserve transparency, accountability and access to information about the decisions being made under the Gold Dome," said Rep. Taylor. "This town hall is an opportunity for constituents to hear directly from lawmakers, ask questions and ensure their voices continue to shape public policy."
The community town hall will provide residents with an opportunity to receive updates on the 2026 legislative session directly from elected officials, ask questions and discuss issues impacting families, homeowners, educators, workers and local communities across Georgia.
Special guests for the event include State Representative Angela Moore (D-Stonecrest), who will discuss education legislation, and State Representative Viola Davis (D-Stone Mountain), who will provide an update on Senate Bill 406 and housing-related legislation affecting homeowners, Homeowners Associations, Condo Owners Associations and Property Owners Association.
"Families across Georgia are paying close attention to legislation impacting housing, homeownership and community governance," said Rep. Davis. "This forum gives us an opportunity to educate the public, discuss SB 406 and hear directly from the people we serve."
This event will include discussion on legislation that passed and did not pass during the 2026 legislative session, analysis of the Amended Fiscal Year 2026 budget and the Fiscal Year 2027 budget, updates on local legislation and community priorities and open discussion, allowing constituents to share concerns, experiences and recommendations with lawmakers.
"Education is the highest priority for the Georgia General Assembly," said Rep. Moore. "This legislative session, we took significant measures to uphold our commitment to Georgia's students."
The event is open to the public, and these representatives encourage residents to attend, participate in the discussion and remain engaged in the legislative process.
