Traffic Advisory San Joaquin County 10/30/26

State Route 4 - Lane Closures
Overnight One-Way Traffic Control

San Joaquin County - The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will perform various closures on State Route 4 (SR-4) for maintenance and construction work within San Joaquin County. Work will occur as follows:

  • Overnight, one-way traffic control from Bacon Island/Trapper Road to the Old River Bridge (San Joaquin/Contra Costa County line) for paving work beginning Sunday, November 1, through Friday, Nov. 6, from 8:00 p.m. until 4:00 a.m.
    • The above closures are required as part of the SR-4 Delta Pavement Improvement Project. For details visit https://dot.ca.gov/caltrans-near-me/district-10/district-10-current-projects/10-1f320
  • Overnight, intermittent one-way traffic control from SR-99/Golden Gate Avenue to the San Joaquin/Stanislaus County line for pavement work beginning Sunday, November 1, through Friday, Nov. 6, from 7:00 p.m. until 7:00 a.m.
  • Overnight, connector ramp closures from westbound SR-4/Crosstown Freeway to northbound Interstate 5 for bridge inspections beginning Monday, Nov. 2, through Wednesday, Nov. 4, from 9:00 p.m. until 5:00 a.m.

Overnight Ramp Closures For Bridge Inspections

San Joaquin County - The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will perform various closures on Interstate 5 (I-5) for maintenance and construction work within San Joaquin County. Work will occur as follows:

  • Overnight, full off-ramp closures from northbound I-5 at Pershing Avenue beginning Monday, November 2, through Wednesday, Nov. 4, from 9:00 p.m. until 5:00 a.m.
  • Overnight, full on- and off-ramp closures on southbound I-5 at Fremont Street beginning Sunday, November 1, through Monday, Nov. 2, from 9:00 p.m. until 5:00 a.m.

State Route 26 - Lane Closures
Overnight One-Way Traffic Control For Striping Operations

San Joaquin County - The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will perform various closures on State Route 26/Fremont Street (SR-26) for maintenance and construction work within San Joaquin County. Work will occur as follows:

  • Overnight, intermittent one-way traffic control from SR-99 to Murray Road for striping operations beginning Sunday, Nov. 1, through Friday, Nov. 6, from 8:00 p.m. until 5:00 a.m.
  • Overnight, one-way traffic control from Duncan Road to Flood Road/Front Street for striping operations beginning Sunday, Nov. 1, through Friday, Nov. 6, from 8:00 p.m. until 5:00 a.m.

Interstate 580 - Ramp Closures
Overnight Closures At Patterson Pass For Construction

San Joaquin County - The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will perform various closures on Interstate 580 (I-580) for maintenance and construction work within San Joaquin County. Work will occur as follows:

  • Overnight, full on- and off-ramp closures on eastbound I-580 at Patterson Pass for construction beginning Sunday, Nov. 1, through Friday, Nov. 6, from 9:00 p.m. until 5:00 a.m.
  • Overnight, full on- and off-ramp closures on westbound I-580 at Patterson Pass for construction beginning Sunday, Nov. 1, through Friday, Nov. 6, from 7:00 p.m. until 3:30 a.m.

Motorists should expect 5-to-10-minute delays and use alternate routes whenever possible. All work is scheduled to occur as listed but is subject to change due to traffic incidents, weather, availability of equipment/materials, and construction-related issues.
