Oct. 28, 2025 - DENTON - The Center for Women Entrepreneurs (CWE), a program of the Jane Nelson Institute for Women's Leadership at Texas Woman's University, has selected 10 entrepreneurs to receive $5,000 awards through its StartHER Grant Program, part of an ongoing effort to boost women-owned businesses across Texas.
This year's competition drew 303 applications from women-owned, for-profit businesses headquartered in Texas that have been operating for up to five years. The strong response underscores the continuing demand for funding and support for women entrepreneurs across the state.
"We were thrilled by the volume and quality of responses this year," said Tracy Irby, the CWE's director. "It's clear that women in Texas are ready to launch and scale businesses, and they're seeking the resources to do so. The CWE remains committed to empowering women-owned businesses through funding, advising and training that build long-term success."
